The vault is invite-only
Access to the members vault is a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to view vault content, granted by invitation. Your account is yours alone: do not share your sign-in, your session, or any signed video link with anyone else. Access is granted and revoked at Steve Silvers's discretion, at any time, with or without stated cause.
No redistribution
Videos in the vault, whether streamed or downloaded, are for your own training study. You may not re-upload, re-post, re-share, sell, or otherwise redistribute any vault video or any part of one, in any form, to anyone who is not a vault member.
Be clear about what download access means: anyone who can download a file can share that file. The technical controls stop at your hard drive, so past that point this rule is the only thing holding. Every view and every download is logged with the account, the time, and the IP address, so if a video turns up somewhere it should not be, there is a record of who had it.
The footage contains real people
Vault videos are recordings of real training sessions and contain footage of training partners and other identifiable people. Treat that footage the way you would want footage of yourself treated. If you appear in a video and you have any concern about it being in the vault, raise it with Steve and it will be reviewed.
Your notes
You keep ownership of the notes you write. For notes visible to the group, you grant Subculture Jiu-Jitsu a non-exclusive license to display them to other vault members alongside the video they annotate, for as long as the note exists. Notes you mark as private are not displayed to other members.
Admins may delete any note for moderation reasons. Admins do not edit the text of another member's note.
Acceptable use
Do not post notes that are unlawful, that harass or defame anyone, or that infringe someone else's copyright. Do not try to circumvent the access controls on the vault or on any video in it.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for a violation of these terms or at Steve's discretion. You may end your membership at any time by asking us to close your account. On termination, your license to view vault content ends immediately and any downloaded copies must be deleted.
Copyright and DMCA
We respect copyright and expect members to do the same. If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a takedown request containing: identification of the copyrighted work; the URL or location of the material on this site; your contact information; a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
Send takedown requests to dan@webfu.com with the subject line "DMCA takedown request". This address is monitored and a request sent there will reach a human.

Repeat infringers. Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material will be terminated. We keep a record of takedown notices received and of the accounts they relate to.

Vault content documents our training. It is study material for members who train under qualified supervision. It is not medical advice, and jiu-jitsu carries an inherent risk of injury. The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.

Governing law and disputes

Changes to these terms
